Terms of use
Last updated October 16, 2026
By using Hardware Repair Guides (https://www.hardwarerepairguides.com), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Repairs are at your own risk
The guides on this site are general information based on my own repair experience. Every computer is different, and opening or repairing a device can damage it, void its warranty, or cause injury, especially with batteries, power supplies, and anything plugged into the wall. Always unplug the device, remove the battery when you can, and follow the manufacturer's instructions. If you're not comfortable doing a repair, take it to a qualified technician. I'm not responsible for any damage, data loss, injury, or other loss that comes from following, or trying to follow, anything on this site.
Back up your data
Some steps, like replacing a drive, resetting Windows, or changing BIOS settings, can erase data. Back up anything important before you start.
No guarantees
I try to keep every guide accurate and up to date, but I can't guarantee that any guide is complete, correct, or right for your exact device. The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.
Affiliate links and products
Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Product prices, availability, and details are set by the seller and can change at any time. Check the listing before you buy. Purchases are between you and the seller. See the Affiliate disclosure page for details.
Links to other sites
Guides may link to other websites, such as manufacturer support pages. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for their content or policies.
Content ownership
The text, photos, and graphics on this site belong to Hardware Repair Guides unless noted otherwise. You're welcome to share links to any guide. Please don't copy whole guides to republish elsewhere without permission.
